Floraphyll Aroma Pods

Floraphyll Aroma Pods

 Floraphyll aroma pods

We have been striving to find a different ways of delivering the power of our active ingredients and are excited to introduce the Floraphyll range of natural environmentally responsible diffusers. Floraphyll pods are pre-charged with Eco-Sentinel to start working as fast as possible, however the pod will take time to fully load- basically the more you use it, the better it gets.

Top up a Floraphyll pod with a few drops of Eco-Sentinel then place in a rooms airflow and the triple anti-microbial qualities of Eco-Sentinel go to work killing Mould, Bacteria and Viruses for upto 30days on a single fill. In high mould areas leave the cork out and top up weekly/ fortnightly.

Please note that while each pod has been tested for leaking, the nature of the pod is to be porous, so make sure to place the pod on something to protect any delicate surfaces.

Floraphyll is hand made from the Australian "Grandis" Banksia or "Bull" Banksia.

The tree itself will grow to approximately 10 metres, it produces brilliant yellow flowers followed by the large seed pod. In the extreme temperatures of the Western Australian Bush the pods open up to release seeds for germination.

The collection of the Banksia Grandis is highly regulated by the Department of Parks and Wildlife Western Australia. Our manufacturer is responsible to ensure that the landscape is undisturbed and that the Banksia trees continue to thrive in the Australian bush.

The seed pods collected have expelled their seeds and have completed the lifecycle of the plant. They are carefully handpicked to ensure no damage is done to the tree itself or the Australian bushland. The collectors go in to the bush on foot, careful not to disturb any surrounding plants or wildlife and no heavy machinery is used during this process.

A royalty is paid to the Western Australian Forestry per seed pod, which goes to aid in forest management and conservation. The pickers are designated certain areas to collect the pods, and these are constantly changing to ensure no one area is ever depleted. Only 10% of the Banksia Seed Pods can be collected in any one area at a time.

Experienced tradesmen use a traditional form of woodworking called woodturning where a chisel is used to shave away the outside of the seed pod revealing its unique pattern. The products are hand sanded with up to three grades of paper, then polished with 100% Australian Canola Oil to enhance the Banksia pod's natural colour.

Because the seed pod is not as dense as timber, it has the ability to soak up essential oils. Once the oil is soaked up it is slowly released through the holes of the pod. The pods are functional, decorative and eco-friendly.

Each Aroma Pod has a combination of rough edges (the outside of the seed pod), holes where the seeds once were and a red velvety fur. These attributes are a completely natural part of the seed pod. Each Aroma Pod has its own unique qualities and you will never find two the same.
